It is okay to have questions
What might make starting feel difficult?
“Does needing therapy mean we have failed?”
Seeking support can be a way to give your relationship attention when something feels difficult or needs to change.
“What if we want different things?”
You can bring different hopes and uncertainties into therapy. Understanding those differences can be part of the work.
“We always end up having the same argument.”
Therapy offers space to slow the conversation down and understand the pattern you keep returning to.
“What if my partner is unsure about starting?”
A free consultation offers a chance to ask questions and understand the process before deciding whether to book.
FAQs
Your questions, answered
No. Couples therapy can be helpful when you notice recurring disagreements, emotional distance or differences you want to understand better. You can seek support before concerns feel overwhelming, including during changes in your relationship or daily life.
Couples therapy generally involves both partners because the relationship is the focus. Your therapist can discuss whether any individual meetings would be appropriate as part of the process. If your partner is not ready to attend, you can ask about individual support for your own concerns.
The first session usually explores what brings you to therapy, how you each experience the relationship and what you hope might change. Your therapist may ask about your history together and how you handle disagreements. You can also ask how sessions work and discuss your expectations.
The therapist’s role is to understand each person’s experience and help you examine patterns, choices and their impact. This includes making room for accountability when someone has been hurt. Understanding both perspectives does not mean treating harmful behaviour as acceptable.
Couples therapy at Dive Into Self costs ₹1,800 for a 75-minute online video session. A four-session package is available for ₹6,000. You can also begin with a free 20–25 minute consultation call to ask practical questions.
Couples therapy can offer space to explore uncertainty and understand what each person wants from the relationship. The work may involve discussing needs, boundaries and possible next steps. Therapy does not guarantee reconciliation or require you to choose a particular outcome.
